  • Overview

    As a Fleet Technician, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and inspection of our trucks as well as various utility related equipment. You will be a critical part to our field operations team by ensuring that our trucks and equipment are always operational for our team.

     

    This position's schedule is Monday to Friday 6:00 am – 4:30 pm. Overtime will be required.

    Responsibilities & Requirements

    You'll be working closely with other technicians and customers with limited amount of supervision. This position is a phenomenal opportunity for those who like to work both independently and as part of a team. As required, you will need to coordinate and prioritize mechanical support service to meet departmental needs.

    • Previous experience in automotive technology required; Graduate of post-secondary automotive technology program preferred
    • Prior experience in mobile hydraulic diagnosis and repair
    • Have your own set of tools
    • Be able to obtain an ASE certification in heavy truck
    • Class A CDL license preferred; minimum Class B acceptable with requirement to obtain Class A within one year of date of hire
    • Possess or obtain a Class T Maine State Inspection license shortly after hire. Be able to obtain Class A, D, and E Maine State Inspection licenses
    • Walk, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds
    • Reach and grab tools and equipment
    • Stand in one place for long periods of time
